It'll buff right out I'm sure.. Went to the rescue suggested to the officer that responded that we get off the highway because people were loosing control trying to slow down for the accident. He seemed sure that it was impossible pointing to coolant on the ground stating that car isn't going anywhere.. Fired it up and drove just shy of a mile to a much safer area. Always had the moto if it steers it clears aka get the hell off the road! Any guesses on if its totaled or not?

Air bag pop? and what year car/how many miles on it? If the core support and rad are gone then it may be totaled out. it most definitely is if the airbag popped on you.

If the air bags didn't pop it will come down to frame damage. If it's as superficial as it looks (just hood, bumper, fenders, headlights, etc) then it might not be. All depends on what they value the car at.

they will fix that. If it steers it clears, love that.

It might get fixed, just make sure they know that you had to drive it with a coolant leak to clear the road, or else you may get stuck paying for blown head gaskets if it doesn't get totaled out. which it may not since it is a newer car that needs a front fascia rebuild. probably has a good chance of getting fixed if the fenders didn't get damaged.

airbags popped usually means totaled, too expensive to justify the insurance replacing them and all the other bits that are broken.

Fenders are damaged

I don't think it'll be totalled. It'll probably be $4-5K in damage after replacing the hood, fenders, bumper, lights, radiator, maybe an a/c condenser (if it took damage like the rad did), an alignment and labour.

My S60R was totalled with what looked like less damage than that.

When I moved my car from an accident scene the beast could not into turning right, only left. Took me three tries to get into my condo driveway lol.

That's what I always say! Buff the hood and fenders and you'll be good to go! Sorry to see that though. No airbag deployment most likely means it's not totaled. It doesn't look like the front was pushed far enough back cause more serious damage. Does the dash still look normal?

I drove my Grand Marquis a few miles, a few times, with no coolant at all. Hose popped off and it all dumped out. Air cooled cast iron V8! Luckily it was about zero degrees Fahrenheit.
